The Aluminium Oxide in Ceramic PCB (Part 2)

Ceramic PCB

Lets continue to learn the difference between 99% aluminum oxide and 96% aluminum oxide.

We will start from 96% aluminum oxide:

As the name suggests, 96% aluminum oxide is a material composed of 96% pure aluminum oxide and 4% other trace elements. Due to its balanced performance and cost-effectiveness, this material is widely used in various electronic products. Here are some of its typical properties:

1. Thermal Conductivity: Good thermal conductivity effectively dissipates heat for high-power components.

2. Dielectric Strength: Excellent dielectric strength ensures stable insulation between conductive wires on ceramic PCBs.

3. Mechanical Strength: Its robust nature guarantees the overall mechanical integrity of ceramic PCBs.

4. Cost-effectiveness: Compared to the higher purity 99% aluminum oxide, 96% aluminum oxide is more cost-effective, making it a better choice for products with strict production cost requirements.

In the next article, we will introduce the performance of 99% aluminum oxide and provide a table to help you more clearly distinguish between their properties.
