Rubber coated bearings refer to special non-standard bearings that use casting or injection molding processes to form a layer of rubber products on the outer ring of the bearing through pressing or bonding.

Rubber coated bearings have excellent strength, wear resistance, heat resistance, hydrolysis resistance, and aging resistance, with a bright appearance and a fine and smooth colloidal surface. The outer ring of the bearing is sandblasted to ensure that the colloidal shell and shaft core are firmly bonded and not easily damaged. Rubber coated bearing products have multiple hardness options, and compared to ordinary bearings, rubber coated bearings have the advantages of impact resistance and low noise.

Material of encapsulated bearings:

(1) Polyurethane - good chemical properties, good solvent resistance, anti-aging, tear resistance, and good resilience.

(2) Rubber has good properties such as heat resistance, cold resistance, ozone resistance, and atmospheric aging, but its disadvantages include poor mechanical properties such as tensile strength and tear resistance, as well as poor oil and organic solvent resistance.

(3) Polyacetal (POM) - has high mechanical strength, high rigidity, high fatigue strength, good resistance to organic solvents, strong wear resistance, but its disadvantages include poor acid resistance, high forming shrinkage rate, and easy decomposition under long-term high temperature.

In addition, rubber bearing products also have rubber materials such as Dingjing rubber neck and fluororubber to choose from.

The process of encapsulated rubber bearings

Injection molded (TPU): It is solid before molding, capable of mass production, high efficiency, low cost, and has a high cost performance ratio when used as a separate guide.

Pouring type (CPU): Before molding, it is liquid, with a wider range of raw material selection and product hardness, making it particularly suitable for the production of large and medium-sized products. It compensates for the limitations and shortcomings of TPU product processing technology, and products using pouring technology have better compressive performance.

Main purpose of plastic coated bearings:

Mechanical and electrical equipment , fitness equipment , food machinery , furniture and decorating materials.HDPE, PP, UPE rubber coated bearings material has proven to be relatively weak acid cross- environment (30% Cucl2 solution and 30% NaoH solution tested OK) it is suitable for most acid / base / salt / solvent / oil / gas and seawater corrosion environment. With general plastic bearings oil-free self -lubricating, anti-magnetic insulation properties, but lower mechanical strength , easily deformed. In comparison, the use of UPE material will have better strength , low friction characteristics and low temperature application characteristics (down to -150 °C).
